Dara Manihot Industries and Farms Ltd is committed to the manufacture of high quality cassava flour, well packaged for discerning individuals and as industrial inputs for flour mills, bakeries and confectionaries, producers of noodles and spaghetti.
We help cassava farmers get better value for their cassava tubers, by processing cassava tubers into High Quality Cassava Flour.
Our objective is to produce 4MT per day of High quality cassava flour to effectively meet part of the cassava flour needs of the flour milling industry in south western part Nigeria, this will result in lower cost for the flour millers and cheaper bread and increased value for cassava farmers in the country.
Our vision started from the desire to support the federal government policy on the use of 50 per cent cassava flour inclusion in wheat flour for the baking of bread and other confectioneries, as part of the agricultural transformation agenda of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Nigeria is Africa’s and the world’s largest producer of cassava, currently imports wheat worth N635 billion (about $4.2bn) annually, hurting its foreign exchange earnings and worsening the rate of unemployment.
